Recession...Where??? So we all talking about recession..Take a look of income tax paid by bollywood stars...
1. Akshay Kumar
Leading the pack is Akshay Kumar, who paid a staggering Rs 31 crore (Rs 310 million) as taxes.
Despite flops like Chandni Chowk To China and 8x10 Tasveer, Akshay beat Shah Rukh Khan, the no 1 star tax payer in recent years, to the top.
2. Shahrukh Khan
Trailing Akshay by just one point -- Rs 30.99 crore (Rs 309.9 million) -- is King Khan. SRK hasn't had a great year at the box office -- his Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Billu did not hit the expected bull's eye. But endorsements and his IPL team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, seem to be bringing in the big bucks.
3.Salman Khan
At third place is Salman with Rs 14 crore (Rs 140 million). Salman's last hit was Partner, way back in 2007. But the actor has been signing quite a few films -- some of which were duds -- and the money seems to be rolling in.
4.Saif Ali Khan
The chotte nawab paid Rs 8.6 crore (Rs 86 million) as tax, thereby showing us that whether his films do well or not, he's still very much in demand.
5.Rajesh Khanna
Surprise surprise! Akshay's pa-in-law paid Rs 8.6 crores (Rs 86 million) as tax. His movies -- yes, Kaka is still making films like Wafa: A Deadly Love Story and Kash Mere Hote -- sank without a trace. He even beat his old rival Amitabh Bachchan, who had more releases, and better ones at that, to his credit. Did Kaka sell off some prize real estate?
6.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The Bachchan bahu paid Rs 4.7 crore (Rs 47 million) as taxes this year. After her turn as Jodhaa in Jodhaa Akbar, Ash plays a modern day Sita in Mani Ratnam's Raavan. And then there's Enthiran with supersuperstar Rajnikanth.
7.Kareena Kapoor
The only other actress on the list is Kareena, who paid Rs 3.6 crore (Rs 36 million) as taxes. Her career is going great guns and we can't wait for her latest film Kambakkht Ishq to hit theatres, perhaps in August.
8.Abhishek Bachchan
Lagging behind his biwi, Abhi paid Rs 3.2 crores (Rs 32 million) in taxes. Quite impressive, considering that the actor's last movie Delhi 6 was a flop.
9.Himesh Reshamiya
We may not have heard his nasal twang in a while, but Himesh's career is apparently warbling fine. The singer-turned-actor shelled out Rs 3 crore (Rs 30 million) as taxes.
10.Amitabh Bachchan
Mr Bachchan rounds up the list with Rs 1.25 crores (Rs 12.5 million) paid as taxes.
Well above are figures, although some sources wrote that highest is paid by akshay kumar but it's 19 crore.. Don't know about authenticity...

my goodness we all know that everybody will try & save as much tax as possible & even these people do it, apart from saving these people have paid so much of tax....? then how much would be their income...?
