Rann is a movie which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Gul Panag, Manisha Koirala, Neetu Chandra, Monish Behl, Rajat Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav and is directed by Ram Gopal Verma. The movie is to be released in mid 2009, but there is no definite date as of yet.
The film story is high drama based, where Amitabh Bachchan playsa respected and known personality and is the founder of India's private news channel 24/7.
The film focuses on the way news is presented today, and how it has become more entertaining than the soaps and drama's on television and how people see the news and how news channels change or present stories in order to make them viewer attracting.

This looks like a really good film, something which is realistic and also something to look forward too. Maybe Ram Gopal Varma will make it big with this film!

About the movie, i m very happy with the Cast, good to see Manisha koirala back, but i find only one problem....Ram gopal varma...you can't expect anything from him, he can give you sarkar and he is even capable of throwing RGV ki AAG, but the plot and cast looks superb to me, hope to see a good Battle in the Desert

i wud suggest u to watch it only after the reviews r out.......specially when its a RGV movie.....

I guess this is the same movie which started to gain publicity(criticizing) for changing the national anthem???
