Default Your wait for new movies is over!!!

Here is a great news for all Movie Lovers!!!

The two month long strike has ended today after a marathon meeting that lasted almost 15 hours, the Hindi film producers and distributors have finally reached common ground.

The terms that have been agreed upon by all the national multiplex chains are:

    (producers:multiplexes)

    50:50
    42.5:58
    37.5:65
    30:70
for the first four weeks respectively for all the movies irrespective to the budget, star cast etc.

In case the movie collects more than Rs 17.50 crores at the top six multiplx chains (excluding single screens and independent multiplex chains collections), then the terms will be as follows:

    52.5:48
    45:55
    38:62 and
    30:70.

The new Hindi films will start releasing in all national multiplex chains from 12 june.

The first movie to hit screens on 12 June will be Vashu bhagnani's Kal Kissne Dekha. The promotions for other new movies will start this monday.

Nothing has benefited the common man. The prices are as high as ever. So now your Rs. 150 is distributed as under:

    - some 25~30% goes to Government on Entertainment tax
    - the rest of the pie will be shared by producers and multiplex owner

I am . I hardly go to the movies and I go to the "absolutely must see" flicks.

Boycott the movies guys. Buy/rent DVDs instead.
