Thread: IIFA or IBFA ???

If you look for IIFA in wiki, it will say "The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, is an awards ceremony that honors Bollywood (Hindi language film industry) films around the world since 2000."

Then why the word Indian in IFFA, it must be IBFA (The International Bollywood Film Academy).

• Does only bollywood represents India film industry?
  
• Whats the status of other regional language film in India?

I personally dont follow any such crapy award function ... All these Award functions are totally fake. But I dont see any harm in the name IIFA. What is wrong if Bollywood movies represent Indian Film Industry all over the World. Afterall, Hindi is our national language. One award ceremony cannot cover all regional movies of India.

yea....all these award functions ve it decided that one actor who wins in Filmfare would not win in the other one.....so there is not point......yes but there is a lot of glamour in these award functions....

i at times if i ve time do watch it...since the stars really wear nice clothes n the sparkling jewellry....n specially the footwear......plus the performances at times r really good....

so in all if u r doing nothing than might jus as well watch it.....

as far as changing the name from IIFA to IBFA.....dont think thy ll do it....as thy r popularly known as IIFA since soo many years.
