Thread: Shiney Ahuja detained on rape charges

MUMBAI: The Oshiwara police on Sunday evening detained Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja for questioning in connection with a rape case. Ahuja's
teenaged domestic maid lodged an FIR against the actor alleging that he had raped her while they were alone at the actor's flat on Sunday afternoon. Ahuja is likely to be arrested.

The 18-year-old maid (name withheld), said police sources, had been working with Ahuja for the last one-and-a-half months. "She approached the Oshiwara police at around 7 pm and told the police that Ahuja had raped her," said Amitabh Gupta, additional commissioner of police.

The complainant told the police that she had come for domestic work to Ahuja's flat. The actor's wife was not at home. "He took me into his bedroom, gagged and raped me," the victim is believed to have said in the FIR. The incident took place between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday. "The complainant told the police that she was traumatised after the incident and went to her relatives' place who along with the girl then approached the police station," said DCP Niket Kaushik.

It is a very shameful act by one of the most Talented Bollywood Actors -> Shiney Ahuja. He has also confessed the crime as news channels are saying. Will this be another case, where a Bollywood actor will never really get punished and live his entire life on Bails!! :angry:

I am really shocked. He was a sensible actor. Never expected this..

He has told the police that he had sex with her (maid) consent. Dunno how far this is true. Even if that is true, why does he need to have sex with a maid. I think he has enough money that he can afford a call girl in mumbai.

I second that, Until he is full frustu case or maid is his fantasy, I mean why in the hell you go for your maid when you're bollywood actor and can afford anything... Something is fishy..

Yes. Shiney said that he had sex with the maid's consent. But the maid is denying this and saying that it was against her consent. In such case, the victim's word is always believed.

Tell me about it... I know some one who got married to his maid...

Maybe he found his maid good, that's why went for her! And also maybe thought she would no say or do anything, so took advantage!

I cant believe he was married and still done this, this is the kind of stuff that puts me off marriage, even though he done this he will forget about it later and act all normal, because hes the man!

Thats a disappointing news... I liked his acting sometimes...

These maids are real ____ ... She must have seduced him and now alleging that he raped her...

Actors are always known to have loose characters... Hope this incident will make them think twice before indulging in infidelity...

That too with maid, They need to think real hard from now...

oh come on guys, whats new in this. Affairs are a part and parcel of film industry, and rarely when something comes to light, ppl make a fuss of it , while in reality it happens all the time..

my point was never ur family member,what i was saying that dont blame the category MAN coz some ppl in the that cat mess & u blame whole category, i must say u acting with typical gals/women attitude. i simply pointed ur father coz hes the member of the MAN category. perhaps the closest MAN to u atm. so when u try to blame the actor for his carelessness being MAN, ur inderectly hitting ur father too(he's man too). anyways enough said. shiney ahuja.....i thght the guy was a decent actor, literate, n came from a cultured family......

i dont think so he would do such an act ....n tht too of all the ppl a maid....i m sure the whole idea is to get money outta him....as such even the smallest of the acts by these stars r usually hyped by the media....

apart from all this....if he accepts that he had sex with tht maid even with her consent....why r there no statements by his wife?? i m sure no wife would stay with such a man n vice versa???
