Thread: Influence of Bollywod Movie

We know that movie is basically a part of entertainment but still lots of movie has the morality. Even not only in art movie but also in typical commercial movie also have some social messages. Sometimes such movies tell something to the viewer sometimes such movies has some appeal to the spectator even few movies always try to develop the character of the viewer.
Although to send social message by using the entertainment media is not new thing it has been started from 19th century when Indians were fighting for freedom and that time also Indian theatre send the message of patriotism to all literate or even illiterate people of India. It was very effective that time lots of people inspired by such show even that’s why British Govt. banned such show.
But the main question is still Indian entertainment media is so powerful ? Is movie like Rang De Basnti,Munna bhai…,Mumbai Meri jaan,Damini,Halla Bool etc has some effect in society (good or bad anything ) ? or peoples become less sensitive in this new era or Indian entertainment media’s creativity is not so stronger as before .Please reply your view.

I think Rang De Basanti was the most inspirational movie. Remember how people took to the streets in Jessica Lall case. Personally, I would like to be inspired from "A Wednesday
" and bump a few terrorists off.
