Priyanka Chops will be playing 12 different roles. I think this is a record. Last time we saw a actor playing so many character was by Kamal Hassan when he played 10 different characters in Dasavatharam.

Yes that's a record..Priyanka has created history not just in Hindi films but in world cinema of any language, including Hollywood by portraying 12 different character in single film.. But priyanka holds the record in female category..

Kamal hassan does not hold record for portraying different character in single movie.. If he or movie production claimed the record they must've not done enough research or they must be talking about indian cinema or they tried to make it USP ..

The most number of roles played by any actor in any movie is 27. This was done by Rolf Leslie in the 1913 movie, Sixty Years A Queen.

Thanks Gothic for that link. But I don't find Sanjeev Kumar's name in that list.
Sanjeev Kumar has played 9 roles in Naya Din Nayi Raat (1974)

Sanjeev Kumar was the best in terms of diversity of characterisations.

Amal, I remember Mr. Yogi. Om Puri was also in it. Had a real catchy tune too. It was hilarious most of the time. But you must have been very young at that time. Still remember it?
