    Default Raavan

Mani Ratnam is back again and this time with his film Raavan, an awaited movie by many people. The film is set to be released on 18th June 2010.
The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram (Tamil actor), the film also has Govinda and Ravi Kishan who have supporting roles. The music has been released and it sounds pretty good, as it has been composed by A.R. Rahman, who's music is brilliant!

The movie is a modern version of the Indian epic Ramayana, and the film will be with a new twist to it. However the film does slightly differ from the actual plot of Ramayana, so when you watch it don't expect the actual epic to be shown as it was, or dont be alarmed to see things differently.

Aishwarya Rai in movie gets married to Vikram who is a police officer, he gets posted to a place in Northern India called Lal Maati. In this small town the rules are made by a local tribal man, and this is played by Abhishek Bachchan. Vikram the police officer aims to bring peace to the place and this can be done by end of the big fish who is Abhishek Bachchan. Vikram manages to strike at Abhishek Bachchan which ruins his world, and then Abhishek Bachchan strikes back and starts a battle.
The battle then brings Vikram, Aishwarya and Abhishek in the jungle, where they confront each other and know of each others truths, the story gets blurred into the love and hate, good and evil!

The story goes through how evil can change to good, love to hate and vice verse!

Seems like a good and entertaining movie, but I think personally I would have to watch the trailers first to make a decision on what the film is really like

Your thread prompted me to listen its music. Listening now. Average . Not the real A R Rahman music.

Mani Ratnam is known to make good movies - although I did not care for Guru too much.

Hmm, for the few seconds I heard, it sounded ok! Maybe my views will change after I have listened to all the songs!
