I have seen that Bollywood always tries its best to compete Hollywood in every way it can and also tires its best to be respected at the same bar Hollywood is respected. Do you think that Bollywood would ever be really able to make up to that level because we are really backward as compared to Hollywood industry which have a lot of skilled workers who have to ability to create something new.

If bollywood need to reach the level of Hollywood, then they have com with good and valuable movies rather than the same old regular movies like angry young man, revenge, love, etc. They should try and think off those categories and make movies differently, at least to compete with hollywood.

one more things..bollywood come from east and hoolywood is come from west..the culture of east si not same like west..many of culture of east is still shy to make something new and overexposed..

There will be needed a lot of effort and money if Bollywood would really want to compete Hollywood but truthly I dont see it happening in the following decade

If you are looking in terms of money then you are wrong. Indian movie industry have a lot of money, a lot of money. It is only that they are not utilizing in the right way. They need to make original movies rather then copied ones.

I dont think that Bollywood would ever be able to compete Hollywood becuse hollywood have a huge amount money, the have some worlds bst actors and more over and the most important thing is that they have original stories which are very much interesting.

i don't think this is impossible and Bollywood can get to the standards of Hollywood too..the only thing which is needed in my view is more of good stories..and more over i find Bollywood better in many aspects than Hollywood..one of them is in its songs..we have a unique trend of having so many songs in our movies which is not seen in Hollywood

It would be really tought for bollywood to compete hollywood. I think it would take a lot of effort and also original stories to even walk on hollywood path as they always had original stories.

Bollywood is not that much backward and also not that much of a copycat as it is being said. Look at movies like Lagaan, DDLJ, Kal ho na ho etc they all re good and their are many more movies which are good and original.

Why not? Lagaan, RDB (Rang De Basanti), Kal ho na ho are a few movies which are good to compete Hollywood movies. The thing is, hollywood movies are highly expensive than bolly movies.

I like Bollywood Movies because of the Extreme Hardcore Romances :-)
I prefer (as a European) the classical Bollywood Films. Hollywood is another Categorie of Film. So let Bollywood be Bollywood and forget about trying to be Hollywood

But, I've heard that Iranian films are the best in the World. I agree your words host. Bolly should be bolly. If bolly also try to be as holly movies, then it will be boring for us to watch the same holly movies everywhere.

Bollywood can never beat the action films of Hollywood...Hollywood movies are just great in this respect..

I think they should not be compared because hollywood is global and bollywood is indian as it makes a difference between gloabl and a one country and the movies can be compared as most of the movies are of high quality.Krish it is almost looks like a Hollywood Movie

I agree with you nansurabhi, but i dont think that krish is at the same quality like a Hollywood film.

It looks to me more like an B-Movie sorry for this, but the special effects are not equal. The most Bollywood films that tried to become Hollywood Standard were really bad. Hollywood makes bom, bang with effects, Bollywood makes love, romance, drama..these are 2 different bases for films. So to mix them wont be a god idea. (Thats My personally opinion).
