Default Cricket and Bollywood make a heady mix

Cricket and Bollywood make a heady mix. The announcement of a film on cricket comes close on the heels of the recent sporting box office hit Chake De India, revolving round hockey which was shot in Melbourne and Sydney. Fast bowler Brett Lee has long expressed his desire to act in the forthcoming Bollywood film and now fans of the Australian cricketing legend can look forward to seeing him in action on the big screen. Lee will star in Victory, a film on cricket to be produced by Vivek Aggarwal and Ajit Pal. Starring alongside Lee is Australian cricketing great Allan Border and fellow Australian cricketers Mike Hussey and Jason Gillespie. The shooting of the film will commence in Australia in January 2008 during the India-Australia cricket series and will feature more than 20 current and recent cricket stars from around the globe. Producer Vivek Aggarwal said: “This is a complex and ambitious project, but Australia was the natural choice. Not only because of the film-friendly culture but also because India and Australia share such a strong passion for cricket.”

Cricket and bollywood in india are inseperable lovers, both have a great and huge fan following across india. This was evident when sharukh used cricket to promote his movie om shanti om in the recently concluded cricket series in india and many more such examples.

But one thing is for sure that both are slowly and steadily ruining india for sure! LOL, at least cricket is surely doing it very consistently!
