Default Johar is thinking of dropping the letter ‘K’

Karan Johar has been a ‘K’ believer for a long time but now Johar is thinking of dropping the letter ‘K’ definitely not from his name but his whole fixation with the alphabet in the creative light of things. But this is not a tarot reader or an astrologer who has advised him to do so. “When I walked out of the cinema after watching Lage Raho Munnabhai in New York, I thought I should drop the K. It was the effect the film had on me. It inspires you to tell the truth and fills you with inspiration, it is too convenient to lie. So, if I do drop the K, it will be courtesy Munnabhai and this is the first time I am saying this!” says Karan. Well that means he won’t be superstitious any more with this letter ‘K’. With determination and sincerity, one can overcome superstitions and gain power. Superstition is actually a state of mind. And the future certainly looks bright as he is set to screen KANK at the Hamburg Film Festival in Germany and he is also readying the film for a German release.

I doubt that the reason cited was only after watching munnabhai, because i feel that it could be because of after the recent failure of his movies, he might have come to this conclusion. But to be frank supersitions and hindi movies and cricket are an inseperable lot!

But his movies have not failed - even KANK, which was a mixed bag and a deviation for mushy romance, was a hit.

Karan Johar is one of the best movie maker and i am sure that one day this would be the person who would get India something which it had been waiting for a long time and that is Oscar Award. Just remember this... i believe in this guy and i am sure that he would make to it.
