Default Mobile broadband connection in Chandigarh

I am going to Chandigarh for work purpose and will be staying there for about 3 weeks. I need a mobile broadband connection which will be used a lot, as there will be some downloading done, social networking and other work related things. The worst thing which I don't want happening is my data limit being finished, so around 10GB data is required. Because it is just a temporary connection I don't mind spending the money on it, so all suggestions are welcome.

There are three 3g service providers at Chandigarh : Idea, Airtel and Vodafone. I find Airtel to be the most reliable network although I have never used 3G at Chandigarh myself because last time I was there they did not have 3G service as all three of them have only recently launched 3G there. Airtel also has 4G there if you have a 4G compatible modem.

I find Airtel to be a bit slow in Chandigarh, its OK but not as fast as it is supposed to be. I dont know whether it was due to location but the speed was not as fast as I expected it to be, although the connection is reliable.

It must have been your location. Speed depends on the signal strength too. I have used both airtel 3g and vodafone 3g at Chandigarh and both are equally good.

Airtel is good in Chandigarh and works well in all locations, apart from this you can also go for BSNL EVDO which would cost you much less and provide more data, but because you are going to be staying in Chandigarh for only 3 weeks I dont know whether it would actually be worth getting a new connection especially if it wont be any use to you when you go back home. If you live in Delhi then it is not worth getting BSNL EVDO.

Near enough all service providers work well in Chandigarh, so whatever your current connection is you can use that too.
