Default Reliance netconnect or mts blaze unlimited 40gb plan

Reliance net connect plus FUP 40GB @Rs 999
    Or
    MTS mblaze 40GB @Rs 999
    Dehradun circle.
Any ideas which one would be better.

They are both equally good. I have used both Reliance netconnect and MTS (currently using) and I find both good but I believe Reliance was a better experience as far as speed goes. What matters the most is your local signal strength. It would be better to find out from the locals there and see which company's signal is stronger at your location.

Both of these service providers and their services are excellent and also provide good tariffs, it would all depend on your particular location to which would work better. I don't live in Dehradun or know much about the service providers there so can not give any suggestions, but I can advise you to ask what others maybe using and what the coverage is like in your area.

No doubt, Reliance has a lot better coverage and even their 1X speed is more then enough for browsing and sending/receiving emails etc.

But mts say its 9.8 mbps connection which means the download speeds should be around 1125 kBps which is just a lie ?

If you don't use up your data then you will still be charged. It would be good if something like this would be applicable that if data is not used you wont be charged.

The data would be lost, but something is starting up to carry forward your data I think it was Airtel which has started this. Just like MNP this too will start.

9.8mbps is the max speed that dongle supports and under ideal conditions it may be possible to achieve that speed but in my own real world experience I have never seen anything above 2.5-3mbps using my MTS data card which also says 9.8mbps.

Reliance coverage is a lot better then MTS if you are going to use roaming and 1x speed of reliance is 144kbps. There is a reason why most news paper reporters use Reliance CDMA data cards.

Both connections work very well, it all depends which performs well in your location depending on the coverage.

Both connections are good, the only problem I see with MTS is that there during peak times the speed starts crawling and I dont think Reliance has this issue. It would best to find out from the nearest shop near who provide the connections to which connection works best, or use someone elses connection at your home.
