Default Which is the best BSNL Broadband plan for home use in Kerala?

I am planning to take a BSNL broadband connection for my home. Currently I am using Idea Mobile broadband which does not work in our area due to poor coverage. So, I need a switch over. I am not so concerned about speed and would be satisfied with moderate speed. I am looking for an unlimited plan with minimum cost. I don't need any voice facility, only data is required.

On an average how much would it cost every month excluding tax? I am in Kollam district, Kerala.

Depends on the speed that you are looking at... Anyway, BSNL is the best option here, and stay away from Asianet!
    Have a look at this

I second BSNL. It is much suited and typically better considering your locality. A few of my friends are vivid gamers and they have been using BSNL for quite a while. They didn't seem to have any problems using it so far.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was planning to look for Asianet as well. But I must say the service of BSNL is really pathetic. I have been trying to get a broadband connection for the last 3 weeks and they really don't care about it. My neighbor (less than 20 meters distance) is already using it without any issues and as per BSNL customer care they are short of cable to connect my house. At the same time they are forcing me to go for BSNL WiMAX for which I need to spend another Rs.1500/- for a modem. This is really ridiculous.

Their attitude is really discouraging for a new customer. Yes, you are right BSNL being owned by the Government is the best option as most of private service providers may charge you more than what they promise. There are a lot of hidden charges.
