well can anyone post a way to change the default pass of Huawei Smartax MT 841 modem to my desired pass

There are typical 3-4 deafult user/passwords for most of routers try admin admin for username and password or if that doesnt work simply reset the router in case u forget the passwd and also u can call the call centre too

Its good bro that you know it already u must have got an cd for drivers of this modem all u need is just check this out iam sure there will be an pdf file for manuals or goto urs ISP site they shold have all info related to do this or just search for "user management" section inside urs router

Go to 192.168.1.1, login & go to system (or router) setup page, there u may find an option to change the system (i.e. The router ) password. I dont use this modem.

Option to change password is usually under the "Adminstration" menu.

Tools > system management > Action(s) click the pencil icon
