    You must do the following:

    1. Configure your modem in PPPoE mode.
    2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

Do what just4kix has told and also assign a static IP in your control panel

To do that, do the following

--Go to control panel, open network connections
--Right click on your network driver and then click properties
--Then in the dialogue box which appears, double click on TCP/IP settings
--then select the option "use the following IP address" then enter these values

    IP address: 192.168.1.(any no. b/w 2 to 254, say 5)
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 (or just press tab)
    Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Primary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    Sec. DNS: 208.67.222.222

This should help a little bit in connecting your phone!

Default solution for mobile wi-fi connect

    Mr.vdsingh
solution is starting multi-device supporte on your wi-fi modem
but that will open your wifi network and any device and any computer around your wi-fi modem will become able to browse net through this modem and billing will go in your account.
i had same problem i did the setting in my modem website. i came to know this when my friend living in next flat told me that he is able to use my wi-fi without password.
so by doing that anyone will be able to hack your network.
    bye
