Default Using WA3002G4 for creating a home network

I am trying to create a home network where i would connect my PC using ethernet card and connect my Laptop using wireless. i used the ADSL setup as mentioned in the posts with PPPOE connection and i am able to browse internet on both my PC and laptop same time. however my PC and Laptop are not able to recognize each other. how should i setup so that i can share files between my PC and my Laptop.

i am able to ping my pc from my laptop however i am not able to ping my laptop from PC

can somebody help me.

Disable firewall in the router and the adsl modem, as well as windows firewall in the two PCs.

If u want to share a particular drive do the following.

Right click the drive and select properties and then the sharing tab.

Under Network Sharing and Security, click on If you understand security risks...click here

In the next window just enable simple sharing (without the wizard)

Give an appropriate name for the shared drive and enable check mark on share this folder on the network

U should be able to share files in between the pcs.

This is one of the simplest form of enabling sharing in a network.
