In BSNL ADSL Type I Modem
Every time you restart your modem, your IP Address is changed.
To see your IP Address, so to

Code:

whatismyip.com

chek your ip there
then restart your modem.
remember, i am telling you to restart the modem, not the Connection.
Just Switch OFF & ON your Modem.
It will autometically change your IP.
You can check that by goingf to that site again.....

What does knowing one's current IP address bring forth?

I mean how many of the fellow forum members check their IP each and everytime they get connected? Is it of any significance?

The only reason i can think of changing IP is when u reach the limit in file sharing websites like Rapidshare.
