Thread: port forwarding DLINK ADSL and Linksys WRT54G?

Hello Friends...

I have MTNL BB 2mb NU plan
I am using a DLINK GLB 802C (similar to DLINK502 just an upgrade)
I also have Linksys WRT54GV2 router

The net connection is routed from my MTNL modem/router to my LINKSYS router and from my linksys it is distributed between my PC, Laptop and Xbox.

Can some one please help me successfully forward port so that i can downlaod smoothly via Utorrent.

I have triend various things... but there is no guide available to help me forward a port.

In Utorrent the signal never turns green, the stupid yellow triangle is always on.

Please give me suggestions / guide / anything which will help me.

but my problem is not solved.
See, i know how to do port forwarding from DLINK ADSL to my pc.
I also know how to do it through LInksys wrt54g to my pc.

My issue is, forwarding port from two different routers (dlink adsl to linksys wrt54g to my pc)

I get my internet connection through mtnl. (dlink glb-802c). which i donot route it to my pc but i route it to my linksys router. which then routes connection to my pc, laptop and xbox.

my download speed is pathetic on utorrent (just 30-40 kbps)..i m on 2mb plan.

So basically the linksys router is acting as a switch, right? U need to port forward the main interface only aka the dlink router. Do u still get port errors even after port forwarding in dlink? If so, disable all firewalls in every router + pc and check again.
