    Default Reduce SNR Margin

    hello

    That is my modem infomation

Before 4 days ago i have speed 4 Mbps but with high noise ( 6 db )

    low download & explorer

Today i change to 2 Mbps and noise rate increase and i want upgarde my speed to 4 Mbps or more

Please how can i reduce noise rate to get quality service

    1. mention modem model/make.
    2. try G992.1 Annex A .
    .....or G992.3 Annex A
You are using ADSL2+ now. G992.5 Annex A
    3. Check speed at speedtest.net say Mumbai server.
    and say Sydney.

    4. connect all Phones AFTER ADSL splitter.
( any noise in phone/s when BB is active ?)
    5. What is your tariff plan to give speed of 4 Mbps?
    6.
Today I change to 2 Mbps
How ? you mean the speeds quoted above ?

    Default broadband speed and noise

The line speed of Download/upload varies
    with the modulation mode selected.
Suggested to change the "mod" mode

Internet Service Provider In India gives
different Tariff plans for speed starting with 256KBps to 8Mbps. Since you are In Saudi Arabia , we don't know the Broadband speed you are supposed to have.

The modem settings show line speed max possible, and actual.Due to various reasons the actual speed will vary

That is why you were asked to check speed at Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test.

Without the modem/router details, unable to give further suggestions.

EXAMPLE: MY modem Beetel 110BX1 ISP Airtel speed upto 2 Mbps
    Statistics -- ADSL

    Mode: ADSL2 AnnexM EU-56
    Type: Fast
    Line Coding: Trellis On
    Status: No Defect
    Link Power State: L0

    Downstream Upstream
    SNR Margin (dB): 30.3 7.6
    Attenuation (dB): 7.5 29.3
    Output Power (dBm): -14.6 6.0
    Attainable Rate (Kbps): 11688 1651 (*modem's)
Rate (Kbps): 2063 519 ( !*due to ISP)
    Wait
    update 0132AM IST

    riyadh 2.47Mb/s0.15Mb/sping 709ms MP3 file 5 MB 17 sec videoclip 35 MB 2 min
    movie 800MB 43 min

    3.40Mb/s0.35Mb/sping 353ms
    Mp3 file 5 MB 12 sec video clip 35 Mb 1 min
    movie 800MB 31 min

    Caution to Indian users.
Test at speedtest.net gobbled about 40 to 45 MB for two tests. !
( luckily I am on free usage time !)

For the speeds you get, 29 and 24 figures for u/l and d/l appear to be reasonable.
how ever, the possible ways are,
identify and eliminate other sources of interference from power line and motor power cables by avoiding the parallelism of modem cable with them.
to use a linear power supply instead of light weight smps types.
ensure that the cable of the modem does not pass through vicinities of Television, satellite TV set top boxes, PLCC systems wires within the house. ensure that the bodies of modem and the PC are grounded properly.
the cables (RJ45) connecting the PC to modem are re-terminated and are clean.

with above steps and checks, perhaps noise could be reduced.
as far as SNR is concerned, i hope that you know a higher figure is better. (say SNR of 30 is better than 20)
you can notice, where the line attenuation is more, the SNR value falls down.
