Angry Netgear WGR614 queries - Help please!

    Hi,
I have a bsnl dataone broadband connection with the Huawei SmartAX MT882 dsl modem.

I am about to purchase a Netgear WGR614 wireless router to create a wireless network in my home. I need some help with the following queries:

    1. Are there any speed / compatibility issues between the SmartAX MT882 and Netgear WGR614? Do they work properly together or should I go for another router?

    2. Which is better - a USB network adapter or a PCI network adapter?

    3. Is it possible for me to access my broadband internet connection wirelessly with the host computer turned off? What I mean is, if the main computer to which my MT882 modem is connected is turned off, and only the modem and wireless router are switched on, can I still access my internet connection wirelessly using my other computer (which has a wireless adapter)?

    Thank you!
    -Srijan

    Default

    1. No. Your speed may not be higher
than 2 Mbps or on the
    lower end 256 Kbps.
    2. Ethernet card (PCI network adapter).
    3. Yes. ( desktop computer off )
    Modem programmed (with your userID
    without @ bsnl in
and PW entered in Wan page of modem.)
    and connected to WIFI router
    for Laptop wifi use.
