Default How to connect D-Link DSL2640T ADSL2+ router through cable connection

    Dear all,

I have an ADSL 2+ wifi router with BSNL broadband. Since I'm a heavy internet user(for downloading movies), I wanted to know if we can connect the router to my system through the network cable and use the internet. The reason is I don't want to disturb the existing wifi settings, since my wife also uses it just for checking mails.. also the router is giving maximum speed of only 54mbps and the download speed is only maximum 10kb/ps.

Please help or pls let me know if there is any way to connect the router to my system using the cable and use the internet.

    Thank you.

yes you can connect with RJ-45 cable (you will get it any computer shop) known as network cable. once you have connected it with the system then configure the router to PPPoE mode
Here is the detail programing on it
