Default Help required in setting up wi fi network

    Hi,
I have a linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter and planning to buy a router to use internet on my desktop pc . I want to set up a wireless area where i can use my reliance broadnet connection( they have given me a modem) to use browse on my laptop and desktop simultaneously . So wanted to know which router will be compatible with the linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter.

    Thanks in advance

i can use my reliance broadnet connection( they have given me a modem)
For a fixed desktop with WIFI card, any
wifi router will do. ( as
    Range is not important )

Reliance should supply you ZTe zxdsl 531 model which is WIFI type.
    01:
Please give details of the modem.
if not WIFI type ask Reliance to replace it.
Tell them you want to use your laptop.

    02:
Your Desktop has the Wireless LAN card installed?
    WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter

    03.
    Start/All programs/ Accessories/Communications
Setup : wireless network connection wizard.
    Follow procedure.

    04:
    Start Network .
    show all connections
Does your WIFI network appear ?
or any other wifi network ? secured or unsecured ?

    05:
Start RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all
    after above steps.

    feedback.

Any wireless router that support Wireless-G protocol will be compatible with your PCI card. Netgear or Linksys are recommended.
