No.seed means to upload data. Obviously you cannot upload when haven't downloaded it.

To seed any file you should have that particular file. The torrent file is a data file that has the details about the whereabouts of the storage location of the desired content.

Well you have to download first in order to seed coz what U R downloading is seed itself nd U can't download without seeding like -U can't expect fruit without a healthy Tree -Here Tree is referred to as Seed and Fruit as Ur downloading Torrent file.To download a Torrent the chronological order is as follows-
1.download torrent file>2.when U finished downloading Seed if u r lenient and brave enough coz very few will have seed after finished downloading unk:
Plz reply if U find it help-ful

As long as you are getting good speed, don't care two hoots about the seed/peer ratio.

But as a good samaritan, please seed for at least 3~4 days after full download.

Or atleast till you acheive 1:1 or better ratio. In an ideal situation you should always try to get 1:1.5 ratio because "sharing is caring."

Well that is more than good but don't trap in complexity just ensure that U get get 50 to 130 kbps speed while downloadingunk:

@ J4K - so if im right it doesn't matter what the peer number is, as long as the seed number is good and the speed is good????

Bingo but most importantly It is about active seeds nd peers as well as above all speed matters the most either way!

    Thats an excellent number ....

people tend to underestimate peer's effect on the download speed ..... people forget that peers download and upload at the same time !

and generally P to P networks use a rarest first algorithm while downloading ........so peers will be downloading (and hence uploading) different parts of a file even if their downloaded percentage is the same ..... so more peers= more speeds (as long as there are some seeders and peers have nt severely curtailed their upload speeds)

    hope my explanation was clear
