Unhappy Want to know which device shud I buy

    All,

I have a BSNL connection at my home and have a BSNL modem.
I have got two more laptops at my home and thinking of creating WireLess network so that each laptop can have access to the Internet.

I was thinking of buying a Modem Router and came across Netgear' 54G Modem router. Shopkeeper told me that this a DSL modem.
And as per my connection it is a ADSL connection.

Can I somehow use my BSNL modem and this Netgear 54G modem router in a way that all my laptops can be in wireless network and connect to the internet.

Any other suggestions will also be welcome.

    Regards
    Deepak

    Hi Mac

I am having a similar setup in my house..... I am currently using a D Link DSL2640T..... its a ADSL 2+ router cum access point....!!!!

    First,
Give me some info about your Modem provided by BSNL is it ADSL2+ or wats d make and model number....!!

    secondly,
If You hav enough money and if u r a tech savvy go for a N Draft Router DIR650 or else a Super G router....!!!

Its all your part in making d decisions, I am only giving my suggestion...!!!

Lowest quotation ! Rs 1600+ taxes or on rent Rs 50 PM.
Exchange your present adsl Modem ( mention make and model)

FROM bsnl for a TYPE IV modem+router +wifi like
    WA 3002-g4 New
    or DNA A 211-I new
    or ZX DSL 531 .
see this web site for a choice.
    BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU

    2. You can buy a Netgear WGR614 for about Rs 1500 or Rs 2000/=
and use it along with the bsnl supplied
adsl modem ( mention mAKE MODEL )

    3. All your laptops may have built in Wireless LAN cards .
or you have to buy them. ( Rs 900 to Rs 1500/=)

    4. What is your tariff plan.?

    5
    Give the max distance
in the house/flat you need wifi access.
from where the wifi router is positioned.
