Thread: DNS server problem!!

I have a problem connecting to internet.

When i run the modem diagnostics, all PASS accept for "Ping primary Domain Name Server"
It is not stable,what i mean is,when i refresh it show PASS then when i refresh again it shows FAILED.Sometimes i have to reboot the modem.
Rest of it is ok,only this Ping primary Domain Name Server having problem.
And i'm guessing that this might be the problem which my cnnction does not stable.
Any method or suggestion? huhuh.

Try changing DNS server address in Internet Protocol -> Properties

Open DNS

Prefered DNS Server: 208.67.222.222
Alternate Server: 208.67.220.220

Comodo Secure DNS

Prefered DNS Server:156.154.70.22
Alternate Server:156.154.71.22

i changed DNS address to that of opendns still the problem persists.

May be a modem problem. Register a complaint with BSNL while we discuss other options.

Are u sure this problem is because of modem or it is due to BsnL's dsl conn.
Coz internet conn resumes in between and again breaks down.

Post screenshot as annexure, of modem adsl page
showing mod selected snr attn line speed etc.
