Rep Power: 1 | GUYS i am sick and tired of configuring my tata wimax connection man..that is why i am posting this link here nd not in the main forum. i had a port forwarding problem(without a router) so i got static ip now that problem is gone.. i had an airtel connection before this and i always used to get torrent speeds from 45-48 kB/s after shifting to tata wimax i only get speeds of 35 -40 kB/s.i dont understansd this is it because of static ip.i have tried all the posssible settings in u torrent but the max it reaches is 41.. average speed is 36 normal downloads are fine.. what do i have to do?? anything oder than changin the isp.. plz plz help!!! |

| What is the advertised speed of your connection ? In utorrent, ctrl + p > Bandwidth, try trial and error Options > Speed guide > Select your speed Check your port is open or not. Try a torrent like Knoppix and check if you are using a good torrent. |

Rep Power: 1 | tried all the above...advertized speed is 384 kbps... as i said i used to get 45-48 kbps in airtel connection... now i have tata wimax with static ip.... speeds are 37-41.... nothing seems to be working.... selected the correct speed in speed guide..still the same... |

Rep Power: 12 | can you increase the antenna height ? How is the signal report as it is ? Check speed at speedtest.net say Melbourne. please mention the modem/model make. Advertised speed upto 384 Kbps . Max 384/8= 48 KB/sec ( Ideal conditions ) Average 35-40 Kb/sec seems Ok. Your Airtel was it broadband via landline , or USBModem or Datacard ? i |

Rep Power: 1 | yes i can increase the signal height the signal strength is fluctuating between 25-28 theres the test as requested ![]() model name is i think TELISIMA nothing is written on that(the white colour modems u get with WIMAX connections) The airtel i had was broadband (dynamic IP) and i used to get average speeds of 45-48 constantly.. and now the connection is TATA WIMAX (static ip) with average speeds of 35-40 |
