Option 1: Make a written request for a modem exchange/upgrade to BSNL. You will be able to get a Type IV wifi modem from BSNL at a discounted price.

Option 2: Buy a wireless router from the market. Netgear and Linksys wireless routers are quite good.

The option that you are thinking (eBay link) is not the correct choice. I have a BSNL wired modem (UT-300R2U) and Linksys WRT54G wireless router.

There are several inexpensive wireless routers available in the market that will satisfy your needs. The best according to me, for your needs is probably the dLink DIR 300 available between 16 to 1700.

Netgear DVG834G seems a good choice.
I use WGR614V6 with Beetel 110BX1 or Huawei AX mt882.

Please go for the Router as specified by essbebe
hence it as the good connectivity,by my personal experience,i feel that if you invest in wireless router's then think 10*10 times before you buy and compliment it,but those nokia 1600 siemens are useless!Never go for it
