Thread: Netgare WGR614 wifi router for beam Direct cable internet

Hello all,

I am stuck with netgear router. I have a Beam cable connection(with out moem) which supports PPPoE login. This login gives me dynamic IP and DNS server.

I can check that wireless setting is working fine and connection between computer and router is fine.

But why it is not working with the internet cable? its giving error page . Does any body has any idea and also its saying configure it in bridge mode.
how to make the bridge mode .

Any kind of help is appreciated.

If you had connected the Beam Rj45 cable to WAN port of
WGR614 shift it to LAN1 and connect another
RJ45 from Lan 2 to computer.
see your computer is connected to Internet.

And now check whether "View available wireless networks "
shows the name you had assigned to your wifi iconnection.
Then try Repair option.
Post error message.

Start run type cmd OK
New window
type ipconfig /all
feedback.

I was able to use a PPPoE to log on to beam broadband and also keep it working. I am not in India and got my family to sign up for Beam Broadband so that they can use Linksys SPA 2102 for VoIP.

For the first time I got my family to log on to beam on the computer. Got the IP and logged on to the Linksys SPA 2102, configured it to use PPPoE (PPPoE, DHCP) and make sure it in NAT MODE setting and there you go.
