    When this error message appears on the Internet connection icon, what does it actually mean?

    This happens when your system is not able to connect with modem/router properly.

    Solution for this is setting IP Address manually to your system.

    Another possibility can be your modem/router is not able to connect to the ISP properly may be because of problem in the modem/router or ISP problem.

    this happens generally in Bridge Mode.......
