Thread: 2 laptops 1 wifi

I am using bsnl's rs750 unlimited plan , having speed 256kbps..
I have 2 laptops, and when i connect net on either one of them, i am not able to connect it on the other.. the other laptop keeps on displaying connecting through wan miniport (ppoe) and is not reaching till verifying my username or password..
Now, i wanna know that cant 2 laptops be connected to a single wifi modem at same time??
If it can be done, please explain how..
