Default 1mpbs connection and Cat 5 cable query

On a 1mbps symmetrical connection are well seeded torrent speeds varying between 100-120 kB/s max fine enough or should i be getting more??.

i use u torrent, default settings for 1mbps in speed guide, port forwarded properly, Windows vista ultimate service pack 2,static ip
any other settings required for any torrent client to get higher speeds would be appreciated

Also,

Does the length of a cat 5 cable affect download speed. If yes after how many meters ??

Would appreciate any kind of useful information.

On 1 mbps connection max. you will get is 128 kBps...
& on 512 kbps connection max. you will get is 64 kBps..
So both you are getting full speed of your connections....
