Red face Yet another Port Forward Query

I use uTorrent, NIS and Sterlite router for broadband. I manually opened the port on the router (and also put the UPnP on activated). I also made a general rule and a program rule for uTorrent to allow in and out bound connections for the port that uTorrent is using, but still uTorrent shows the sign for port not open. The port checker site also says the port is not reachable. Pl tell.
