    Default WIFI signal fluctuation

    i am using a D-LINK 300 ROUTER.
the signal strength in the room it is in is perfect.
when i keep my laptop(in a stable place) in another room separated by a wall and 20 meters the signal strength starts fluctuating due to which there is a bit of speed drop..
the signal strength should be low and stable(since m not moving my laptop) but why is it fluctuating..
i have a 1 mbps connection so even if i get 11 mbps from the router it aint a problem but its the fluctuation thats causing the problem..
    no radio,microwave,cordless, devices around.

I've experienced the same thing before. But we just asked customer assistance for it. It turns out the company of our router is the one that is having problems.
