Arrow Port Forwarding in iBall Baton iB-LR6111A

Port Forwarding in iBall Baton iB-LR6111A

There are three ways to open ports in iBall Baton iB- LR6111A (firmware: 2.0.0).

    1. UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)
    2. DMZ (Demilitarized Zone)
    3. Virtual Server
Port Forwarding using UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) Method

    MODEM Settings

    • Go to MODEM/Router configuration page by opening http://192.168.1.1 in the internet browser
    • Enter the “admin” (without quotes) as the username and password
    • Select Access Management tab and then UPnP sub-tab
    • Enable both UPnP and Auto-configured by selecting the radio button.
    • Click Save
    uTorrent Settings

    • Open uTorrent and go to Preference in Options menu
    • Select Connection tab and select (add tick mark) “Enable UPnP port mapping”
    • Click Apply, OK and it’s done

Port Forwarding using NAT (Network Address Translation) Method

    Modem Settings

    • Open MODEM/Router configuration page
    • Select Advanced Setup tab and then NAT tab
    • Select the Virtual Circuit* you are using (example: PVC1) for PPPOE connection
    • Click Virtual Server
    • Select an unused Rule Index number
    • Type the name of the application (ex: uTorrent)
    • Select the protocol you are using (TCP protocol is used for by applications or select ALL if you need)
    • Type the port range you are going to use (example: Start: 5700 & End: 5800 or both the same port if you only need to open a single port)
    • Now type the Local IP Address* (example: 192.168.1.100).
    • Click Save and it’s done
Note: NAT should be enabled in Interface Setup-> Internet, for the Virtual Circut the PPPOE connection is using. Set the same port number in uTorrent Options-> Preference-> Connection also. Disable (remove tick mark) "Randomize port each start".

Port Forwarding using DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) Method

    Modem Settings

    • Open MODEM/Router configuration page
    • Select Advanced Setup tab and then NAT tab
    • Click DMZ
    • Enable DMZ by selecting the radio button
    • Enter the Local IP Address* (example: 192.168.1.100)
    • Click Save and it’s done

    Extra

*Virtual Circuit: Virtual Circuits are the same as the different connections you see in the WAN page of a UTSTARCOM UT300R2U MODEM, if you are familiar with it. You can view the details of Virtual Circuit by going to Interface Setup->Internet-> PVCs Summary.

*Local IP Address: You can find Local IP Address by going to Start-> Run-> type cmd and click enter. In the Command Prompt window, type "ipconfig/all" (without quotes) and click enter. It's the first IP Address value under the name of the network card/adapter (example: VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter) you see after entering ipconfig/all in Command Prompt.
