Default How to connect vonage adapter and wireless router to BSNL Modem (Sterlite Smartfax MT

    Hi,

I just now registered in this site. I came from Canada visiting India for a month atleast. I'm trying to connect my wireless router (Linksys WRT320N) and Vonage adapter(s) (VDV21-VD) to BSNL Modem (Sterlite Smartfax MT882), but couldn't able to (There were few error messages on the screen when I try to connect). Please find me the complete set-up instructions since I'm not technically that sound. I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

    Regards,

    Prabhakar.

Confirm you can connect to Internet in "Always On" mode .
with AX MT882 connected to desktop or laptop.

IF Yes connect Rj45 from computer end to Vonage Unit.
    Restart both units.
All three icons Telephone/Monitor/Globe should appear.
    Date and time also.
Post error messages. appearing in LCD display.

Default Still unable to figure out to connect with WRT320N and AX MT882

    Hi,
Thanks for the info. Still facing some problems while trying to connect through the router (WRT320N). I keep getting error 687. Are there any other settings to be configured to make this work. Thanks a lot.

    error 687 give details.
    Some confusion for me.
    (a)Vonage working Ok ?
    (b)Computer Internet not working ?
    (c)both not working?.

    UPDATE: 0920AM

You will have to change the IP of the router to 192.168.2.1.

confirmed Linksys needs an adsl modem.

    Para two:
Are you trying to bypass AX MT882
and use WRT320N to connect to your ISP ?
( will check the details later in Google )
Confirm Linksy's WRT320N is only a wifi router, and needs an external modem.
    If WRT320N is an ADSLmodem+4lanport+wifi
Check computer connects to Internet normally in LAN mode and WIFI mode ~~~~
Then from LAN1 to Vonage Unit. Blue cable.

    para three:
    My setup: Beetel 110Bx1 Blue cable ( 4 wires)==>>. Vonage VDV21===phone1 phone 2 .
    Vonage== Thick blue cable ( 8 wires)==>>
    netgearwgr614V6 ~~~~~~ laptop in wifi
    mode.
Netgear Lan1 ===Rj45>>. another laptop ethernet port. ( No wlan card)
    laptops not in use 24/7.

COPY/Paste this data ( NO EDIT)
    Start RUn type cmd Ok
    new window
    type ipconfig /all
