create a new queue ,, go to scheduler-> new queue-> give a name then select that queue in the left side n choose the schedule tab in the left side,, give time for start download at, stop download at ,, give apply and close ,,, now when u want to download a file .. for example if u choose to download a file from softpedia, u click the download button ,, the idm box pops up askin u to download , choose download later and select the queue that u created from the dropdown box... the file will get downloaded during the scheduled time

Very useful information, but I have one query, when I schedule 2 files, it starts to download two files simultaneously which reduces bandwidth of both files, is there any way by which I can schedule one file after another?

Go to IDM click scheduler then click synchronization queue. If you use main download queue it wont work.In synchronization queue, you schedule all things. Then click the tab 'files in the queue'.Then add files to that queue.
There is an option in that tab 'no.of downloads at the same time'.Put that as 1 then you wont loose your bandwidth. You can add files to synchronization queue from the main window.Right click on link then move to synchronization queue. You can also use periodic synchronization for the whole week.

But main problem with this type of scheduling is that only few are giving permanent links for direct download. All file hosting sites are giving temperory links. So scheduling wont work.
