Need help guys. Does anybody know where to get broadband connection in Satara, Maharastra. Except BSNL and Reliance. I was looking at min of 256 kbps with unlimited download.

i don't live in ur town but i recommend BSNL.

they give 256Kbps with unlimited download and upload @Rs 750/month.

and i hope u r not confused with Kbps and KBps.

BSNL is not that bad. Try home 500 or 500 C. They are the best available plans in India. With unlimited night download.

yeah BSNL is not that bad.

And yeah home 500 is best if u can wake up at 2AM(night).
there is no limit between 2AM and 8AM in this plan.

but if u need an unlimited plan then UL 750(256Kbps) or UL 1350(512Kbps) BSNL are great.

this is good for day surfers.

I have taken a 500 one in the month of December 09 (in Cochin). When I see my usage in BSNL Portal I was surprised. If the connection is in continuation and beyond 08:00, everything is taken as 0 usage. Whether there is an error in BSNL billing I do not know.

Presume you started downloading at about 0205 AM and continued even after 8AM without break.
(b)
if you started download earlier than 0200AM and extended it, all data D/L may be counted and charged !
(c)
usually the usage meter changes over at 0200AM/0800 AM , now a days, and in rare
\ cases may extend upto 0830.
Any way don't stretch your luck!

(d)
Disconnect/ reconnect modem at about 0155 and 0205 AM and again disconnect at 0800 AM.
Imran's Broadband Utility does the job.
