YES. I think I answered in a different thread.
Anyway see the guides by @just4kix.
IF Your ISP is cable BB provider ADSL modem cannot be used.
@above
my ISP is Tata Indicom. and i downloaded the guide. how to find whether the TAD100 modem is in bridge mode?.
@essbebe
by accessing 192.168.1.1 through http, my TAD100 adsl2+modem settings are:
vpi/vci 0/32 and protocol is "bridge" and it is enabled.
when i connect to the internet, the dialpg box shows "Connecting through WAN Miniport,PPPOE". i assume it is in bridge mode and DHCP is enabled.
so i can buy the DIR-300 wireless router and follow the guide by just4kix??

When you buy any WIFI router, you will get an
Installation Cd, and manual may be.
Dlink/Linksys/Netgear/Buffalo etc usually have a
menu called Setup wizard.
You will be asked to give min details to
enable wifi.
Try that initially ,and then go for manual settings.
( the IP address of wifi router will be different )
REF: I am using same wifi router.
1. ADSLmodem preferably in "Always On " mode.
2. use the wizard of wifi router.
3. Try the LAN1 mode/ethernet to computer.
4. try WIFI in unsecured mode. ( No cables )
5. Use security key and test.
6. Check any other wifi secured/unsecured

@ above
many thanks mate. will post the screenshots. so, the wi-fi N routers have extended range? >100 feet?
With dual antenna models, the range
may extend. As mentioned earlier
Height of the Antenna/Obstructions/Line of sight, location of the WIFI router and laptop etc count. Many variables and no firm distance can be given.
I am picking up an unsecured WIFI network , the distance of which may even exceed 50 feet.
My WGR614 tested for about 20/30 feet.
i got the dir-300 router.
changed my adsl TAD 100 router settings to pppoe, changed LAN settings to enable dhcp
changed the IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1
rebooted the modem/router
now i cant get back to the DSL router settings page of my TAD 100
the ipconfig /all command, after connecting using user name and password from TAD 100 modem is
