The new Opera 10.5 beta is released.The big improvement in this new release is a new JavaScript engine.Opera claims that it’s eight times faster than the previous version.

It was before known for it`s turbo mode.Opera 10.5 also looks significantly different, having eliminated the menu bar in favor a new “Opera menu,” which looks and behaves much like the single button menus found in Microsoft Office. It`s starting time is also reduced.

The JavaScript test taken using SunSpider JavaScript Benchmark , gives the result as follows:



You can see the improvement in Opera in JavaScipt before and after. Opera 10.5 narrowly beats Chrome, so Opera’s “fastest browser on Earth” claim seems to be justified. It has also scores a perfect 100 on the Acid3 test, which tests for compliance with web standards..

My friend there are other tests also. And one more point linux user are using its open source version for much longer and chrome is not going to be included in official linux repo but its open source version chromium.
Opera is an old generation browser which are not safer than chrome's gen.

we are not users of Linux, and before windows linux users make a dwarf number..

He has written that at the time it is available only for windows which is wrong. I am not talking about number of linux users. I think genuine linux user in India are more than genuine windows! hahaha

If you want to go where no one have ever gone. If you want to know what is different between a true OS and a fraud you will use unixes. This site too is running on it LAMP I think.( at least earlier was don't know about now as it was on hostgator which was using Linux)

Linux of now is for common people. Just use Linux Mint. Not gentoo which for geeky type of people.

even Kubuntu didnt stick to my eyes...

Use the totem. Any one will tell you what you are saying is completely wrong. You probably don't know what software to use.

For kubuntu use amarok.

^everyone else is talking of windows media player, vlc,media player classic ETC and you are speaking of something funny that we never heard about.:O

VLC is also available for linux. Just download it. In fact Linux users have more right to say that its their.

i know only one thing, thats windows are mamy many more than stupid lunix,its the bread and butter of many companies

wrong there. Unix BSD and Linux forms the chunk of companies. See your google or apple or ibm.

I do not need to be protected as I am using Norton 360 Full version Antivirus.

What was the trouble that you un-install it? You can do things in it you can't on windows which hides things.
