There are people who just prefer Gmail, but the fact of having created when younger, a Hotmail account (where they still receive mail), they have to login that mail account too.
Now, we can read our mail from Hotmail to Gmail, for which previously we had to use a client that integrated these services. Recently Microsoft has enabled access to your hotmail account from external E-mail providers, including Gmail. The only thing left now is to configure it to allow redirects emails.
To configure it, please follow the steps:
1. Click Settings at the top of your Gmail page.
2. Click Accounts.
3. In the section Get mail from other accounts, click Add another mail account.
4. Enter your full email address which you want to access.
5. Click Next Step. Gmail will populate sample settings.
6. Check the name and port number of the server you access.
7. Enter your password.
8. Decide whether you want:
8.1. Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server.
8.2. Always use a SSL connection (secure connection) to retrieve email messages.
8.3. Label incoming messages.
8.4. Archive incoming messages.
The selected alternatives will work for emails from Hotmail abc@live.com or xyz@hotmail.com and therefore should have no problems.
It is an alternative to consider for Gmail fans who do not wish to continue accessing the Hotmail interface.
