Thread: router problem

hi,
this is sampath from hyderabad.I recently started using beam telecom ISP. Now i bought another system wherein i want to share this connection.So, i bought a DLINK(GLB-802C) WIRED ROUTER and TPLINK SWITCH. Customer care from DLink said that this is not a compatible router. Can anyone suggest me a router which is compatible ?? Is a switch required for this kind of scenario ??

Details of ISP :

Name : Beam telecom
Speed: 1Mbps
LOGIN: REQUIRED
TYPE : Broadband

Did the ISP supply you a Cable(ADSL)modem or
you get a RJ45 cable to connect to your system ?
Mention model/make/number if supplied.

GLB802C has Lan as well as USB port to which .Additional system can be connected to 2nd system.

For WIFI mode (if laptop) different WIFI router required.

After ensuring Internet is connected /working
you can transfer the RJ 45 from System 1 to the switch.
use additional Rj45 cables to connect all systems.

Whether dealer will take back the unit or exchange it for a suitable router, please check.
