Default How to switch to PPPoE or Bridge Mode

    Hey all!

Today i am going to show u how do u switch to PPPoE mode or Bridge mode. Most of us know how to but this is for beginners. And anyone can comment.

    __________________________________________________ _______________
    I used-

    OS- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

    Modem- UTStarcom WA3002G4

    Browser- Google Chrome

    Mouse

    Keyboard
    __________________________________________________ _______________

Let me u whats PPPoE and Bridge mode in short.

PPPoE- (PPP over Ethernet)In this mode u don't need a dialer. You are connected all the time. Its also called "Always On" mode. Its used for using internet on multiple devices using same modem/router.

Bridge- In this mode u need a dialer to connect.u can connect to internet using only 1 device using this mode.
    __________________________________________________ _______________

Its really easy to switch modes. We all have different modems but the settings page of many modems is similar.

    Steps:-

    For PPPoE Mode-
    1) Open up your browser and go to 192.168.1.1

    2) When it asks for username password then type Username-admin and password-admin

    3) In the left pane go to Advanced Setup>WAN.

    4) The following appears(fig. 1).Select "Edit" in the first line.

    5) don't do anything here.just click "Next".

    6) Next appears to change the type. Here put dot in "PPP over Ethernet(PPPoE)".(Fig.2)After that it asks u to enter username password just fill it.(Fig.3)

    Fig.2

    Fig.3
    7) next comes enabling firewall and NAT.put tick in both(Fig.4).on next page click "Save".

    Fig.4

    8) on next page Select Save/Reboot.This will save your settings and reboot your modem.(Fig.5)

    Fig.5

    9)Done!!
    __________________________________________________ _______________
    For Bridge Mode-

    1) Repeat same steps above when comes 6th step then select "Bridging"(Fig.6) and "Save/Reboot".

    __________________________________________________ _______________

Hope u like this short guide.

It is advisable to reduce the picture size & removethe blank portion/s
of any picture, for better presentation.

    Item No 3: is confusing

In ( "Bridged"(box) mode in ROUTER you use a Dialer externally.
In PPPoE ( BOx )mode in wan page of router you connect automatically.

    Item No 5:
If you want to program NU downloads ( 02AM to 08 AM)
Use Automatic scheduler , which can be set in "Always On " mode.

    Test in Day time.

Switch to PPPoE (you need this to use WiFi), and configure an internal static IP to avoid IP conflict. Also make sure you are not using ethernet and WiFi at the same time (on same PC).

i wanna said that earlier to this i also set pppoe setting seeing some forum on net that i dont remember means earlier to format my machine works perfectly on pppoe setting show no ipconflict error .and using external dialer i can easily connect by both lan and wifi in pppoe setting something is may be different in setting in router that i dont remember know as internet light right to dsl is now always on when i connect to net but earlier to this incident when old setting working when i connect through external dialer in pppoe setting this internet light never light now it always light

corenetworkz site nokia siemens 1600 configuration procedure

    i follow this configuration
like above procedure for pppoe + enable ppp debug mode and disable firewall and save and reboot
now ican connect both through lan and wifi by pppoe setting through external dialler
and when i connect to internet no internet light also light up right to dsl light but still ipconflict error window shows may be they r some time oldone hour ago i clear the event viewer and than try again

ok testing for 2 hours in above configuration all is well ipconflict problem also gone but my iptv stb now cant connect to server so i called to tech support of aksh iptv hope it will be sort out easily

Default NOKIA Siemens 1600 IPTV problem

Very difficult to understand your post/s. use short paragraphs.
Try step by step . Use simple sentences.
Check wa3002_g4 sig link below for router settings.
( should be similar . confirm)

    Problem:
my iptv stb now cant connect to server.
So i called to tech support of aksh iptv.
Hope it will be sort(ed) out easily.

    suggestion:

(a)Check in WAn settings page a "Bridged" mode connection
for IPTV probably 0 and 33 or 0 and 100

    (b)
When connected to Internet use dialer again to connect. IPTV.
( confirm Settop Box is connected to LAN2 lan3 or Lan4)

    Feedback.

If you have problem with English post in your language (original font, not in for Eg. Hinglish). If you are using Hindi, post in Devanagari script. You can use browsers like Epic to type in your language. We can later use Google Translate and convert it into English.
