Default Alternative means to access router settings?

My phone is able to connect to my router but data will not transfer. I have confirmed this is not a phone issue by reflashing the firmware.

I changed the IP for my router to 192.168.1.2 because it was sharing it with my modem. Was working fine for a few days but now it brings up a dead page. Tried manually resetting the router with the reset button but no luck.

I need to access my router somehow so i can set up a new profile for my phone.

    router - linksys wrt54gh
    modem - sterlite sam300ax
    phone - iphone 3g 3.1.3

    Cheers!

http://www.indiabroadband.net/mtnl-b...tml#post190708 (How to set up SAM300AX with Linksys WRT54G2 V1)

try in SEARCH BOX above for old threads.
There is a guide by @Just4kix for similar setup. check this forum.

    enable DHCP in modem.
type ipconfig /all for WLAN and find the default Ip address of wifi router.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction Essbebe. i did come across Socrates' guide previously but didnt think it would work for my router model.

anyway it was helpful, managed to change my ip to 10.10.0.1 but i am still not able to connect to my router every single time, and this is with a wired ethernet connection. i have used 3 cables so far so am ruling out cable issues.

i get a 'limited or no connectivity' error on the icon so i reset my tcp-ip settings using netsh which worked for a while. but now the problem has returned. this does not happen on the same port when i plug in my modem directly, it generates an IP (192.168.1.1) almost immediately while my router gets stuck with a 169 IP.

what would be my next step in this situation?

while my router gets stuck with a 169 IP.
The DHCP range should be 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.10

The above error can appear when Ip address is selected automatically.
    ( windows default Ip )
Also in sam300AX ( if issued by MTNL earlier)use only lan 2 and Lan 3.

Please copy paste here ipconfig /all
for lan set up and wlan set up..

Here are my ipconfig results. NIC#1 is my router and NIC#2 is the Sterlite modem. modem never has a problem, only the router. also, if i connect modem to wan port on router and connect router to pc, net doesnt work. i find ports 1 and 4 work better for me on the modem as compared to 2 and 3?

if i manually change router ip to 10.10.0.1 instead of selecting 'obtain ip address automatically' then the limited or no connectivity error goes away but still cant access router page. weirdly, at times i am able to login to router settings page on my iphone over wifi, but this is only when modem cable is disconnected, and only for a few minutes before page dies.
