Thread: Favicon url...

My website redirection service is asking me a favicon url...
so do i need to host the favicon image to some image host and give that url??

what extension is a favicon url?? i mean is it png or jpg and what should be the dimensions of a standard favicon image...

If you host your favicon at a different server it will just add a new dns query and delay your page loads and might affect your rankings on Google.
