Unhappy Can anyone check and reply please?

    Hi..
Im on Home BBG Combo 1111 Plan.

    It has dedicated 2mbps .

So, I should always be gettinf 1.71Mbps .

But since the very day, the plan has been changed, Im seeing a bad connection strength.

Here is a pic from my status:

Can anyone see and say, if the SNR values and ATTENTION are all good ?

And whom do I need to contact for making it right ? Customer Care or the JTO or the Line Man at exchange ?

Damn, the image got deleted from TinyPic.
    Ok here is it :

I seriously dont understand, whats happening.
When I called SDO and LineMan, they are saying, its all good.
Called the exchange head. He said, all good.

Now, either its the problem with this f**king Terracom modem or something.
Bcz, when everyone is saying, everything is all right, then why am I not getting the 2mbps connection ?

Im on Home 1111 and t should always come 1.7mbps or something.
But since a week, its less than 800kbps also.

Can anyone suggest, which is the best plan in BSNl to go, so that we dont have to worry ?

    Is 2799 8mbps any good ?
I can go for it right now, if those stupid problems are not solved in next 2-3 days.
    Damn .

Your values are not good. Get your line checked by the line man.

I just called the area SDO.
    He said,
"you will never get good speeds, since all the wires which comes from exchange are getting frequently cut and thats why, lots and lots of joints are there.
And since joints are there, so drop is surely going to be there.
We cant do anything for this ..
    Sorry.."

    F**K!
I dont have an option. What to do ?

Talk to the line man. He is incharge of cable. Ask him to replace it.

Now that the SDO himself has admitted that it is their fault, you can try switching to some other provider like Airtel or Reliance.

Alternatively, you can fight your way through the situation by contacting the nodal officer and the appellate authority.

A few emails and phone calls should do the trick.

    Hi Dileep,
WHich cable are you talking about ? The one which has come to my bungalow from the DP box on pole or the heavy duty wires which comes underground from exchange ?

Which one should I ask him to replace ?

How can we contact them ?
Im from orissa and here we dont have Airtel.
Reliance is there, but plans are ass. 1mbps for 45,000 INR.

Can we get the nodal officer phone or email from anywhere or bsnl website ?

Try change the line from junction box to your home. You can find the line man at your local exchange. A visit to there may be fruitful.

You can find the address of nodal officer and appellate authority on the backside of your bill. You may call them and seek help. But I am not sure if they will attend a case of damaged lines. They clearly say 2 Mbps wherever possible.

The nodal officers and the appellate authorities take care of every problem faced by the subscribers. They do not try to bluff their ways with the customer.

In BSNL, I have often noticed that the primary problem makers are the lower grade employees, who do not have any notion about how things work out. However, the highly placed officials within the same company are aware of the happenings and take the appropriate remedial measures - only if any subscriber approaches them!

I just checked out the official website http://www.orissa.bsnl.co.in/ However, the grievance system is not working at the moment. Might be a temp problem with their portal.
