Default How to protect your computers from Exploits/attacks when the router is in BRIDGE mode

Very recently,i've changed my routers configuration to Bridge mode from PPoE ,lately ,iam getting LSSAS and DCOM exploits as all ports are open in bridge mode,my router Conexant wont allow me to forward any port in PPoE,am sure many are running on bridge mode,i just want to know what kind of security measures they take.
I've been advised to use Comodo firewall, but all these Exploits/attacks bypass this firewall and are blocked by the Network shield running by AVAST antivirus!
iam feeling insecure because of this constant pop-up messages
please mention better FIREWALL software and ANTIVIRUS based on your experiences.

    thx.

When I used to be in Bridge mode, I used Zonealarm firewall. Give it a try. Choosing Avast was a right decision. Are you sure that in Comodo, live protection is ON ? Just check the firewall settings. If possible, set it into paranoid mode.

Yes,Its On. Its in the proactive defense mode,it notifies me when when applications attempt to connect to the internet ,but these attacks are not blocked at all, they are blocked by avast.
    ok iàll try zonealarm
