Default How to setup my wireless configuration

    Hi All,

I have been BSNL broadband customer till last month.(I had to disconnect due to some reasons.)

I have taken a local broadband connection but he does not provide wireless connection.

what i have now is: I just connect the cable to my laptop and browse internet(it asks for username and password)

when i asked him about wireless router he said we dont do this,You can buy a wireless router and do it urself..

Since i have BSNL AR800V v3.0 type II modem i want to use this to set up with my present internet connection.

I tried to insert my internet cable into DSL port of BSNL AR800V v3.0 type II modem but it does not fit.

Is there a way to do? or do i need to buy new wireless router..

    please help me..

NOTE: My operating system is windows 7

Which OS do you use ? If Windows 7, try Connectify. It is free and quite useful.

Thanks meetdilip for you reply..But i dont understand how connectify will solve my problem?

My Problem in single line : How do i set up wireless internet connection of my Local internet connection(NOT BSNL) with BSNL supplied router(AR 800V v3.0 type II).

And the other thing is my internet cable does not fit in the DSL port of AR 800V v3.0 type II router.

Connectify can convert your laptop into a wifi hotspot. All you need is to use internet in your laptop and have Connectify activated. It will be then available in other systems within the range.

Connectify - Turn your Windows 7 laptop into a Wi-Fi Hotspot
