IN one of my earlier posting i had mentioned about the encryption in my wI fi connection going off by itslef and me having to redo it 3times.Finally it so happened that i was not able to log into 192.168.1.1.I reported the problem to BSNL.the JTO who installed the BB connection came down and reset the modem.I was able to go into the router site and do the encryption.but all these were the forewarning about the impending failure of the modem.The very same evening(Friday 24th Sept) the modem went dead.I reported the problem to the JTO/BSNL who took up the matter with the Commercial Officer and i was given a
free replacement even though one month had passed after the warranty period.I 3was lucky in this case.Otherwise i would have had to shell out Rs1600.hats off to BSNL for their nice customer service. It all depends on how we approach the BSNL staff and present our problem.but the failure of the ITI router was a surprise to them.I would like any fellow members in this forum to share any similar experience with this type of modem.
