    Default Beetel 450TC1 with Spectranet

    Hi,

I have a Beetel 450TC1 adsl router that I bought with my Airtel broadband connection. Now, I have a Spectranet connection. which is via the standard LAN Cable. The Spectranet provider told me that this router will not work with Spectranet since the input port is the thin one (not the regular LAN port). However, I was able to get it working by simply inserting the Spectranet lan cable to the LAN Port 1 on the router.

Here's the problem now, with this setup, the router exhibits random behaviour, sometimes it starts up with the standard Beetel interface (when I connect to 192.168.1.1), at other times it opens up a Netgear router page (which is when I am able to use my Spectranet connection), and most recently it shows a BSNL Dataone interface. I have no idea as to why this behaviour is exhibited. Does any one else have any idea on this?

And is there a way to restrict it to show only the Netgear interface (perhaps by manually installing the firmware or something?)

    TIA,

    Mohit

    1.
450TCI Ip address is 192.168.1.1 admin PW password.
( since you got the unit from Airtel)
    2.
Netgear interface may be from your present ISP.
    Give details model/make/number.
    3.
    BSNL dataone interface
somehow you get connected to a random IP.
Do you get a window to connect to a modem ?
    or
straightaway you get any website of BSNL ?
    4.
    Please copy/paste this data here.
    Start RUn type cmd OK
    New window
    type ipconfig /all
    5.
    Confirm
you get connected to spectranet BB
    (a) if Rj45 connected to computer ethernet (LAN) port direct.
    (b) you have to enter UswerId and PW to get connected.
    6.
When Beetel modem is also used same as (b)above.
( seems it is acting as a HUB or switch)
    7.
    feedback.

    Hi,

    1. Yes, that is how I opened the interface.

    2. I don't remember the model number/make and it is not opening now, I'll update when it opens again.

    3. BSNL data one interface comes when I connect to 192.168.1.1 (And use admin/admin for logging in, tried various passwords and this one worked)

    4.
This output is when I am connecting directly via the LAN Port.

    5. When Spectranet BB works, it redirects me to an authentication page (the first time I try to open a website) where I need to enter the user name and password.

    6. No idea about this.

    7. ?

Let me know if this information is enough.

    Hi,

I've found some sort of a fix for this, I realized I wasn't setting the ip manually for my wireless connection, after doing so its working fine.
